Itinerary

After meeting at your agreed pickup location, we begin our 5-day tour from Casablanca to Fes via the Merzouga Desert. First, we explore Casablanca’s key landmarks: the Hassan II Mosque (the largest in Africa), the Royal Palace, and the Corniche promenade. Afterward, we drive to Marrakech, where you’ll have free time to explore the historic medina. Overnight in a hotel or riad.

After breakfast, visit the Menara Gardens—a 12th-century orchard with a reflecting pool used for irrigation. Our tour continues to the Koutoubia Mosque, Majorelle Garden (famous for its cobalt-blue tiles), Bahia Palace, and Dar Si Said Museum. Lunch is optional in the medina, followed by time to wander the colorful souks. End the day with a sunset drink overlooking Jemaa el-Fna Square from a café terrace. Dinner and overnight stay in Marrakech.

Depart Marrakech after breakfast and cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), stopping for panoramic mountain views. We’ll visit a traditional Berber village en route and have lunch at a kasbah. Continue to Ouarzazate—the “Hollywood of Africa”—then proceed to the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Overnight in a local hotel or riad.

After breakfast, drive through the Todra Gorges (towering 300m cliffs), passing Berber villages in Tinghir and Tinjdad. Continue to Erfoud, gateway to the Tafilalt oasis, before reaching Merzouga. Leave non-essential luggage at your hotel, then mount camels for a ride across Erg Chebbi’s golden dunes. Stop at the highest dune for sunset photos and sandboarding. Arrive at a traditional Berber desert camp for dinner, drum music, and an overnight stay under the stars.

Wake early to witness the desert sunrise from the dunes. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel and rejoin your vehicle. Drive through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley, stopping at the Aoufous oasis in Tafilalt. Continue to Midelt via the Tizi n’Talghamt Pass, with lunch in Midelt. Ascend through the cedar forests of Azrou (home to wild Barbary macaques) and pass Ifrane—the “Little Switzerland of Morocco”—before arriving in Fez. Drop-off at your accommodation concludes the tour.
